What is Desktop Publishing?
Desktop Publishing refers to any and all printed material generated on a computer by a specialized program. The printed materials often are sent out to a copy shop or a printer after the customer has accepted a final proof. Desktop Designs uses MS Publisher, Print Shop12, Paint Shop Pro, and 1st Page to create a variety of printed materials suited to each client.
What is a Virtual Office Assistant?
Traditionally, they are known as secretaries, administrative assistants, executive assistants or bookkeepers. A VA works from their own office and provides secretarial type services to businesses, entrepreneurs, executives or very busy people. The advantages benefit both the client and the VA. It is truly a win-win situation. The type of work that can be accomplished is as varied as your imagination.
Why not use a temp agency?
Using a temp agency is less cost effective since you pay an hourly rate plus fees. Also, you must furnish office space and equipment.
How do I know how much time I am being billed for?
Desktop Designs uses AllNetic Working Time Tracker to keep track of each client's individual projects. The client can request a time summary from Desktop Designs at any time. Client will be notified when design staff exceeds estimated time.
How do I work with a VA?
It's simple. You can call, fax or e-mail (preferred) at your convenience. I will get back to you, usually within 24 hours. The finished work can be returned to you by courier, regular mail, fax or e-mail. Free pickup and delivery is available within a limited area of Longview/Kelso.
